Footing in The Pearl River Delta, Guiding Xijiang River Industrial Belt

The Xijiang River is a mainstream of Pearl River running through Guizhou, Guangxi, Guangdong provinces and other places.

Within Guangdong province quite a number of cities or counties are located on the sides of Xijiang River like Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Shunde, Naihai, Gaoyao, Yunan, zhaoqing, Deqing, Yunan and Fengkai.

The Pearl River Delta Economy Belt has stretched vigorously to its west and north after 20 years of speedy development. The Xijiang River Industrial Belt, the former hinterland of the Delta, has become the new growth point of economy.

Gaoming, the bridgehead of Xijiang River Industrial Belt, is sure to spark off the development trend of economy in Xijaing River area

Running through from the west to east of Gaoming, with its birthplace and main streams all in the region, Cangjiang River, also named as Gaoming River, is the symbol of Gaoming, reputed as the mother river.

Divided into East and West Park, Cangjiang Industrial Park, which occupies an area of nearly 100 square kilometers, consists of Bio-tech Section, Food Processing Section, Export Products Processing Section and New Material Industry Section, etc.

The park enjoys an ascendant geographical location, with the Pearl River Delta 2nd Ring Highway to the east of the Park in plan, the Outer Ring Highway to the west, Gaoming Highway to the north, And Guanggao Line, a provincial Class 1 highway on its east. The estimated total investment on the infrastructure for the new park will amount to 10 billion RMB in year 2010.

On March 25, 2003, the East Park was approved by national experts committee as one project in the National Torch Plan as the Foshan New Material Industry Base
